Deborah Henson-ConantBy public demand following her memorable performance at the first Wales International Harp Festival in 2006, the great jazz harpist, story teller and composer, DEBORAH HENSON-CONANT returns to Wales from America to perform and take part in a very exciting educational and community project with young musicians in this country.

Sponsored by Camac Harps, she will launch her new collection of music for educational use during the concert.

This concert will see the first performance of a collection of new music (from jazz and blues to rock and hip-hop) by Deborah Henson-Conant, the amazing American electric harpist, story teller and composer ­ with members of Ensemble Cymru and the Mavron String Quartet.

Young professional harpists, Eleanor Turner and Amanda Whiting will be soloists in the concert, with Deborah herself directing the professional ensemble, who will be joined by young musicians from the youth ensembles of Gwynedd and Ynys Mon (William Mathias Schools Service), following workshops and rerearsals during the Festival.
